Ways I can work with you

Step 1

• You tell me your business pains and wishes.
• Together, we assess them and select the Vital Few (the 20% of the items that yield 80% of the value added).

Step 2

• Together, we improve the business processes that are Vital-Few inputs(causes) of the number-one priority.
• As we conduct the process improvement, Iteach you the science and perspective of business process improvement.
• The goal is for you to become talented at these techniques so you can practice them un-assisted ongoing.
• We've resolved you biggest pain or wish, and you're on your way to applying the tools on your own.

Step 3  

• Repeat Step 2, addressing the remaining Vital-Few issues.
• You will know when you no longer need my help.
• Once the original Vital-Few are addressed, you or we will determine the new Vital-Few from the issues at that point. There are times when external opportunities or challenges require changes to priorities.
• It will likely include one-on-one work with you.
• It will likely include work with you and your management team.
• It might include training sessions with a group.
• It might eventually include training sessions with everyone in your business.

Step 4

• Ongoing Continuous Business Process Improvement.
• You or I teach the techniques to you employees.
• Ongoing Continuous Improvement is a way of life in you organization.
• Your organization accomplishes more while consuming less money.
• Your organization:

              -- Is more agile

              -- Adds more value

              -- Is stronger and more resilient

             -- Gets it right the first time more often

First, I'll need to learn from you. Depending on the things you want to add, remove, or improve in your business, I'll need to learn some of the things below:

1. The status of your business. How your business is doing in your desired areas of business performance.
2. The biggest things you wish could be different. Include things you wish for, even if you currently think they are impossible. Tell me your business "Pains & Wishes."

I will work directly with you and the people in your business who can contribute to the effort.
